Is your fear of failing or succeeding limiting your entrepreneurial achievements?

Do you consider yourself a driven individual who wants to make a difference in the world, yet the fear of either failing or succeeding holds you back? It’s more common than you think! Why? Because we all have self-sabotaging patterns, but the good news is, you can change it! First, let me explain how self-sabotage works.

How we self-sabotage

We spend about 95% of our time in an unconscious state, or in other words on auto pilot.

Every second our brain receives about 2 million bits of information from our environment. We cannot possibly process all that information. So, every second, the brain filters the 2 million bits of information down to about 126 bits of information to the conscious part of our brain. The subconscious makes this filtering based on our identity, values, beliefs, previous decisions, memories, and such.

How do we create our filters?

Our identity, values, and beliefs are the strongest filters, and we learn them as children by the age of seven. How? Imagine that our brain is like a computer. When you buy a brand a new computer, you have an operational system on it but nothing else. So, in order to use the computer, you’ll have to buy certain programs, like Word, Excel and such.

When we are born, we are like a brand-new computer. We need to download the software to be able to navigate in later life.

This is why our brain operates in a special brainwave for the first six years of our lives, so it can facilitate this super learning state and download all the necessary programs. During this time, the brain observes everything and everyone around us, learns behaviors, habits, and forms our identity. That means that most of our earliest programming comes from copying our parents/ primary caregivers!

This is where problems can come from. You could have copied things that are now holding you back, like the fear of success or failure. For example, you might have downloaded a program that taught you that success is risky, it’s hard work, and overall a bad idea. Now, every time you work towards becoming successful, your subconscious will apply the brakes as it plays the picked up limiting beliefs about success and stops you from achieving it. This is called self-sabotage. The conscious part of you wants something, yet the subconscious part holds a contraindication about it. The subconscious will always win, based on the “auto pilot” state I explained above. It’s the boss.

I had self-sabotaging behavior too.

I went self employed shortly after the 2008 financial crash, when I had a secure job in a high-end fitness facility. Almost everyone around me thought I was crazy to do that. Well, I wanted to create something I believed in. Soon I noticed my self-sabotage pattern of being afraid of success. The comfort of staying small became crystal clear from my subconscious mind. I could see how I picked it up as a child. Growing up with parents who always played small to stay safe. For years I kept trying to override it with my conscious mind only to find myself frustrated. I didn’t understand why until I learnt about self-sabotage. I was excited to know that there is help. Once I erased the old programming and rerecorded a new pattern the magic started to happen. I was fascinated enough that I decided to learn how to do it.

What’s the answer?

Just like me, you too can reprogram your subconscious mind at any time.

In my practice I use Hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programing) and TIME (Time Integration for Maximum Empowerment) technique to help anyone who is ready to start living a different life and create a different future for themselves.

As humans, we don’t like change, but when it is affecting your dreams, your desire, you better get help with making those changes. You owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself. Get in touch when you’re ready to let go of your fear.

Isn’t it time to overcome your self-sabotage?
